Bunchrew House is the perfect venue
for a Highland Wedding and we believe that our level of care and
attention to detail rates second to none. |
| It is the House for
all seasons, be it a winter wedding when crackling log fires and
candlelight add to the romantic atmosphere, or a summer wedding
when you can take full advantage of the fabulous grounds, beautiful
trees and lawns rolling right down to the sea! Due to the intimate
atmosphere of Bunchrew House we do ask you to reserve all the bedrooms
at a discounted rate to allow exclusive use for your wedding party.
Only in a few circumstances when, for example, a wedding is for
a small number of guests, there is no music or dancing and you accept
that other guests would be around the hotel, would this condition
not be enforced. |
The Wedding Ceremony
Your ceremony can take place in the wood-panelled drawing room beneath
the marriage lintel which dates back to 1621, or, if a glorious sunny
day, you can be married on the lawn under the 350 year old cedar tree
known locally as the "loving tree". |

| In Scotland, if you
wish to hold the ceremony outwith a registry office or church, it
must be performed by a minister or priest and we would be happy
to put you in touch with ministers of some of the local churches. |
The Wedding Meal
Our main restaurant overlooks the Beauly Firth and offers panoramic
views across the Black Isle and Ben Wyvis. It can accommodate up to
92 guests for the meal and up to a further 60 guests for an evening
reception. Exclusive use ensures your guests can enjoy all the areas
of the House without interference from others. For more intimate weddings
we can offer the Mackenzie Room which also overlooks the water and
is ideal for numbers up to 12. Whatever the number, we can assure
you that the meal will be superb. It is a matter of great pride to
Walter Walker, our Head Chef, that the standard of preparation and
presentation of his dishes does not waiver whether the meal be for
two people or 202. We have recently been awarded two AA rosettes for
food and are now striving for a third. |
